Lessons Learnt and Ways Forward from Korea’s Open Government Activities
A growing recognition of interconnected challenges presents a unique opportunity for governments to be more transparent, accountable and responsive to citizens. This session will offer an opportunity to explore global movements pushing open government forward including designing international standards and share recommendations on Korea’s global leadership and implementation of open government from OECD and OGP. Moreover, it will navigate Korea’s journey towards fostering open government values and principles. With a comprehensive overview of Korea’s open government activities in partnership, Korean government and civil society will highlight successes, challenges and lessons learnt in upholding transparency, accountability and citizen participation.
