La democracia que queremos

Desde antes de suscitarse la emergencia por Covid-19, en distintas partes de América Latina se evidencian situaciones de crisis social y política, que plantean serios interrogantes sobre el futuro de las democracias. Hoy podemos ver una proliferación de persecuciones políticas y cierre del espacio cívico.
Sin embargo, muchos gobiernos subnacionales, regionales y organizaciones de la sociedad civil están realizando acciones concretas para fortalecer la democracia en un contexto político complejo.
Desde Asuntos del Sur, invitamos a gobiernos y organizaciones a conversar sobre qué pasos debemos seguir para alcanzar indicadores positivos para el fortalecimiento democrático. De esta manera, a través de un ciclo de diálogos abiertos, conversaremos junto a académicos, funcionarios y equipos de gobierno, sobre gobierno abierto, sostenibilidad ambiental, transformación digital y género.

Meet the moment. Raise ambition. Rise to the challenge.

The Open Government Challenge is a call to action for all members of OGP to raise ambition in ten areas of open government to help strengthen our democracies. Over the next five years, all members of the Partnership should aim to raise the ambition of reforms in 10 policy areas and demonstrate relevant progress in as many of the areas of the Challenge through their OGP action plans or beyond.We must act together to make a difference, because only when governments, public officials, and civil society work together, we see more ambitious and impactful reforms that transform our communities.

It’s our time to meet the moment. Let’s use Open Gov Week to take on the the Open Gov Challenge.
