The event is planned on May 14th at 10am on the Meetings room at the Commune of Taounat.
On the prior dates of May 11/12/13, we will send invite letters to experts on law, medicine, paramedics, psychology experts, civil society actors and families of persons with disabilities. We will also inform the citizens through public posters, the commune website and posts in social media.
We will start the event by a keynote of the president or his representative, then, there will be an analysis of the legal framework on the rights of persons with disabilities, then there will presentations from medical experts. There will be an open discussion afterwards. The goal is to agree on a petition to create a consultative body for the rights of persons with disabilities.
A visit will be organized to Center “Smile of Hope” for mental disability to discover the different services offered by the center.

The Open Government Challenge is a call to action for all members of OGP to raise ambition in ten areas of open government to help strengthen our democracies. Over the next five years, all members of the Partnership should aim to raise the ambition of reforms in 10 policy areas and demonstrate relevant progress in as many of the areas of the Challenge through their OGP action plans or beyond.We must act together to make a difference, because only when governments, public officials, and civil society work together, we see more ambitious and impactful reforms that transform our communities.

It’s our time to meet the moment. Let’s use Open Gov Week to take on the the Open Gov Challenge.
