Democracy Action Partnership: Pathways to Progress

SHARE

We are delighted to invite you to join the WFD Webinar: Democracy Action Partnership: Pathways to Progress.

The Democracy Action Partnership is an official side event to the annual Bali Civil Society and Media Forum and biennial Bali Democracy Forum. In 2023, a one-day generative workshop was held across 29th and 30th November 2023. It explored how multi-sector stakeholders can collectively ensure women can meaningfully and safely participate in democracy and elections.

Six months on from our 2023 DAP Event, we would love for you to join us in launching our papers and sharing / discussing the pathways to progress since our in-person event in Bali. Our thematic areas of conversation include:
– Strengthening women’s roles in democracy through elections and other democratic processes in Southeast Asia
– Defending election integrity from disinformation in Southeast Asia

Meet the moment. Raise ambition. Rise to the challenge.

The Open Government Challenge is a call to action for all members of OGP to raise ambition in ten areas of open government to help strengthen our democracies. Over the next five years, all members of the Partnership should aim to raise the ambition of reforms in 10 policy areas and demonstrate relevant progress in as many of the areas of the Challenge through their OGP action plans or beyond. We must act together to make a difference, because only when governments, public officials, and civil society work together, we see more ambitious and impactful reforms that transform our communities.

It’s our time to meet the moment. Let’s use Open Gov Week to take on the the Open Gov Challenge.
