Leadership to Open: How leaders must reinvent leadership to renew and reset governance
Many see the pandemic as a portal to a new era (Arundhati Roy), one in which we must prioritise shared well-being on a healthy planet. As we “build back better’ after Covid-19, how do our leaders drive that change? What are qualities that 21st century leaders need, given the multiple crises the world now faces? How can they get the skills and acquire the necessary mindset to deliver?
Open government — and better, more effective governance overall — are a powerful means to advance accountability and transparency, tackle systemic inequalities and elevate the role of citizens in shaping our societies. How can leaders make the most of the ‘open agenda’ to bring about transformational change?
In this session, participants will gain a first hand insight into the leadership approaches both our politicians and private sector leaders will need if society is to have the best chance for renewal after the pandemic, to change our governance for the better and to rebuild societies that focus on people.
