Open government: context, principles and goals
The workshop began with ice-breaking by the facilitator with the participants in the introduction section and their aspirations during the workshop.
The workshop was divided into two main topics.
The first axis: presenting the Open Government Partnership Initiative.
Through it, the participants learned about the general framework of the Open Government Initiative, its definition, its basic principles, and its goals, which are manifested in an economic goal, a political goal, an artistic goal, an administrative goal, and a cultural goal. They were also introduced to the eligibility conditions for nomination to join countries/governments.
The second axis: Morocco’s position in the Open Government Partnership.
Through it, the participants learned about the context and paths of engagement, as well as the action plans related to the Open Government Partnership workshops, as well as the methodology for joint preparation of action plans. The national action plans for the open government were presented as a model, and finally, the experiences of joining Moroccan territorial groups were reviewed.
The workshop ended with an evaluation session and a group photo.
For one week in May, come together to share ideas, discuss solutions, and commit to new levels of citizen participation in government.
