Overview of the US Senate-proposed roadmap for Artificial Intelligence, and Discussion of its implications for Transparency and Privacy
Earlier this month, the United States Senate proposed a roadmap for Artificial Intelligence. There will likely be a rich discussion of government’s role in overseeing AI that merits attention. In particular, AI’s use in government may present a risk that government decisions will be less transparent as the government itself uses AI. The hosts will offer a brief overview on the U.S. Senate proposal, and then moderate a discussion that:
• Invites feedback/comments from the Open Government community on the U.S. Senate proposal; and
• Invites ideation on how to preserve transparency and privacy as use of artificial intelligence becomes more common.
For one week in May, come together to share ideas, discuss solutions, and commit to new levels of citizen participation in government.
