A consortium of visionary organizations comes together to organize an UnConference on COVID&Data in a PechaKucha night format in Yerevan, Armenia. PechaKucha Night (PKN) started in Tokyo in 2003 (that explains the choice of name: PechaKucha literally means “chit-chat” in Japanese!). The concept has now spread to over 1,050 cities around the world, arriving here in our own Yerevan in 2010.
This year the event is adjusted to OGP’s Open Government Week, a global flashmob of events on next-gen-governance practices. In Armenia, the event brings together innovators, youth, professionals and bureaucrats in a thoughtful co-thinking event on the challenges and opportunities brought by the Pandemic. We have a lineup of speakers who will share their insights through user-friendly presentations and will have a chance to socialize with the audience during a wine evening. And this is all offline!! Of course, we are mindful of the public health concerns. Masks and social distance will be ensured.
